Can anyone advise what type of parking facility is available at the CCL Terminal in Galveston, Texas. Is it an open parking lot, or parking garage? Is the parking area secure, or do I have to worry about vehicle burglaries while I'm away? Thanks, in advance, for any input that you might be able to provide on this topic.

Chris

When we left out of Galveston 3 years ago, there was a large, secured, open lot (no garage) next to the ships. Easy access. Leaving the ship was congested with traffic. Be prepared for that.

The cruise terminal parking lots are fenced in, but I can't say that are monitored all week. I assume that are. Cost is like $10 a day. I would recommend EZCruise Parking. They are less expensive and you will need to be shuttled back to the ship from the parking lots either way you go. Google them and make a reservation.
Then you drop off your luggage and/or family at the terminal and have them get in line and then you go and drop the car off and get suttled back...

In December when we were in Galveston (sailed out on Conquest). After we dropped off our luggage we parked in the Port parking lot It had a picture of a dolphin on the sign. I think it was parking lot B. We paid 70.00 for the whole week and our car was fine. FYI get there early to get parking. It was so awful trying to get parking.

You're cruise experience might be a lot different than ours will be. Looks like you will be going during Spring Break season. I guess there are a lot of pros and cons to that. Enjoy your cruise.
