It depends on what airport you are flying into, and what port your cruise leaves from. Of course, the best advice is to never fly in on the same day the cruise leaves since this is risky.

Shuttles...can some sometimes be a better choice than a taxi.

What time does your flight arrive at LAX?

This came up on a thread just the other day;
you can get a Super Shuttle or Prime Time Shuttle right outside the baggage claim area to San Pedro for about $10.
As long as your flight arrives no later than 1:00 p.m. you should be o.k.

If timing is tight, I'd suggest a private car service. We used ExecuCar at LAX. It is a division of Super Shuttle. We were met just before we got to baggage claim, and were out of the airport within minutes of getting our bags. And, there was no waiting for other passengers as will often happen with a shuttle. As f-mattox said, you should be fine with a shuttle if your flight arrives before 1:00 pm, so this is an option you might consider if you have a later flight. The price wasn't bad, either. You will need to reserve in advance.

Happy cruising,
LisaP

We're flying into FLL and rent a van from Dollar the day before our cruise. But...they advised me that I would have to return it to MIA and they will take us to the cruise terminal. When we return from our cruise they will have the van at the cruise terminal waiting on us. Is there a easy way or another car rental where we can drop the car off at the terminal instead of Miami Airport?

All car rental companies in MIA are using the same station to serve the airport as well as the port of Miami, as far as I know. So there is no way to drop off the car next to the cruise ship terminals. But that doesn't matter; car rental companies are running (free) shuttles to the port as well as to the airport. It needs about 15 to 20 minutes to/from port and you have no hazzle to get into the port by car - traffic is almost on a very high level there.

Best regards,

Diddn
