Leaving for cruise Dec 30. Leaving out of New Orleans. We drive to port and stop a hour or two before the port the night before. Since the destruction from hurricane are there any cheap hotel or are they filled with construction workers?
We usally stop right off interstate. We are leaving from Kentucky.

If you have an idea of where you will be stopping I would book ahead.
We had a hard time finding accommodation on our way to TX this Feb. we ended up driving later than planned to find a vacancy.
Even at the top of MS there is still a lot of work going on.
