Hi.

We will be flying into San Diego April 9 leaving out on the 10th for Cabo aboard the Elation.

We have never been to San Diego and know nothing about it. We are wanting an (inexpensive) hotel close to the beach that has a lounge.

Can anyone point us in the right direction? Or give us some tips on fun things to do in the short time we have?

I like to stay at the Holiday Inn Harbor View. It is right by the cruise terminal. It has an Elephant and Castle pub at the hotel. There are many things close by to do. Seaport Mall, Gas Lamp District, San Diego Zoo, Museums in Balboa Park, take the trolley for a city tour, go over to Coronado Island. You also can take water amphibious tours and see the Navy ships in the bay.
