I am taking a cruise in Jan.07 out of Galveston, and will be flying in to George Bush in Houston the night before, and staying at a hotel in Galveston. Has anyone had any experience getting transfers to and from Galveston, and if so who do you recommend. Is it just easier to grab a taxi, and if so does anyone know the costs either way. Thanks so much for any help.

The trip from the airport to Galveston is at least 40 miles. I don't think a taxi is your best bet there. Maybe a Limo or similar form of transport. Also check with your hotel, maybe they can arrange transport to their hotel.

Sorry I can't be much more help than that, I normally drive my own vechile to the hotels/ships
