I was planning on driving down to Miami for a cruise. I was wondering what the parking situation will be like? Is the parking done in covered garages like at Port Canaveral and Tampa? How much is it per day?
On of my co-workers suggested I rent a car one-way from Miami to Orlando. Get transported to the Port by the rental car agency (in their courtesy shuttle?). Then after the cruise, be transported back to the rental car agency. Then rent a car one-way from Miami back to Orlando. Sounds complicated? But he did say he did it and saved money that way.
Parking is very convenient and available in facilities located in front of individual cruise terminals. Long-term parking for a regular vehicle is $15.00 per day. If you are sailing out of Terminals F, G and J, you can use either cash or credit (Visa or MasterCard only). The parking facility in front of Terminal B, C and 10 is currently cash only. Depending on pier location, there are multi-level garages or, flat open-air lots.
