Has anyone ever taken the Carnival post cruise excursion to Kennedy Space Center and then to the airport? I've been trying to find out the cost is to compare my options- Carnival can't or won't give me any idea what the general cost is.

You could do it on your own. We just came back from Port Canavreal and we rented a mini van, one way for about $60. The rental car shuttles pick you up from the ship and take you the rental agency. Then you could drive yourself to NASA and then to the airport (The airport is only about 40 minutes away.)

Then you are not at the mercy of the excursion schedules.

Thanks, I think a rental car would be our best plan; I'm renting one from Orlando to the port and since I don't need to actually go back to MCO (we are staying a few days at a DTD hotel)I would only have to get transportation back to Disney anyway. Getting two separate rentals there and back is a little more hassle but is the best deal cost-wise and as you said,gives us some control over our time.
