Hello! I am super excited to be going on my 3rd cruise in October 2007, the Carnival Pride. We are interested in staying at a hotel in LA the night after our 7 day cruise, as we do not fly back to CO until Monday. Any suggestions? Maybe something by the port or by the airport? 3 or 4 star is fine for us, if the price is right. Thanks To All! Eek

I actually just heard about that hotel, sounds nice. I'm trying to figure out if it is important to be close to the port or would it be better to be close to LAX to fly out the next day. Maybe we need to decide what we want to do in LA that last night & then decide what location. Any suggestions on that? Thanks!

We stayed at the Radisson near LAX. It was very nice and reasonable. Hotels in Long Beach are beautiful also. The Hyatt was recommended to our family by Carnival.

The QM is in desperate need of internal repairs. Keep that in mind.

Hi, Cruise'n 4 Life. My family and I are going on the Pride the week of October 7th, 07. Which date are you going? Debbie

The thing about staying close to LAX is there is nothing to do around there. Downtown Long Beach/New Pike area (there is a beautiful Hyatt Hotel there) has a lot of resturants, New Pike Amusement park and the beach nearby. Even though it will be October, the weather will most likely be nice. Just my humble opinion. (I was born and raised in Los Angeles-51 years worth...).

I agree fivepoints. The Long Beach hotel district is alive and booming with plenty to do and see. Not to mention, the cab ride to Pride is a stone's throw.
