Anyone frequent Port Canaveral? We’re looking at flying in the day before our Carnival Glory cruise and need suggestion on hotels to stay in overnight. Nothing fancy but just good and clean. Also do they have shuttles from Orlando airport to said Hotel and then to the Port the next day? This is something we will need as we hopefully wont have to spend the money for a rental car.

We've done a couple cruises from there. Both times we stayed at the Radisson Resort At The Port. They have a free shuttle from the hotel to the ship - you have to sign up for it. They don't have one from MCO to the hotel - too far. There are tons of options to get from the airport to the hotel though. Here is one option.
We always stay at Ron Jon Cape Caribe Resort at the Port also. We LOVE IT and if you can set aside a day or two at the end or beginning of the cruise its great. There is beach access, a great pool with a water park, putt-putt, free movie theatre, indoor play place etc. I did not notice if you were cruising with kids but its a great place if you are. There is a nice restaurant and AWESOME pool bar with live music. My husband and I get up early in the mornings and walk down to the port and watch the ships come in. Ask for Port Side so you can watch the ships come in and out.

Raddison is the best - very nice hotel with a fantastic breakfast. But if you are going for cheaper - Quality Inn is $99.00 a night and you get the free parking and shuttle service from the Raddison Hotel. Just make sure to have them call when you get there to make your reservation for the shuttle. Hope this helps
Im so glad someone posted this because I was just about to ask the same question! I've heard a lot about the radisson hotel from this website. thanks for the info!
The two hotels listed here, we agree are "top notch".....we have been extremely pleased with both! The Quality Inn has some of the best prices around, if you like a 1 bedroom suite, so you have some privacy if you are traveling with kids. The Radison is awesome. Very cool pool! It is a very nice place. The price is a little higher then the Quality Inn. We are not familiar with the Ron Jon one...though we have heard it is nice. Also, the Holiday Inn, in Cocoa Beach is fun if you have kids. Especially young ones. They have a neat slide that looks like a pirate ship, in a kiddie pool. Our grandson loves it! The hotel itself is nothing special...but they have a decent restaurant and stuff to do for the kids and it is on the beach. We would highly recommond any of these three.
