Does any one have any experience with dropping off a rental car for a major company (Alamo, Hertz, Exterprise, etc)near Port Canaveral? I need to know which ones have shuttles to and from the cruise port. We're flying into Clearwater for a few days before the cruise, then over to the ship,Mariner,OTS, then back to Clearwater. We want to rent a car for the trip across the State, drop it off near the Port, then pick up another one to go back, and be shuttled to and from the agency by their shuttle service. Any suggestions?

Hi
I understand that Budget at Cape Canaveral do a shuttle to and from the cruise port. I called them recently to book a car, I think it's free.
I'm on Mariner 14/10/07.
Enjoy

On Sept 2nd of this year I rented a car in Orlando and dropped it off in Coco Beach. Thrifty was the rental agency, and the shuttle was free.

Thanks Sonny and akayel. Trying to save a few bucks, if I can, for another booking onboard.
Sounds like Thrifty may be our choice too.

It's just a 5 minute ride. The shuttle is your typical small shuttle bus. It's not a van.

Avis has a free shuttle to and from the rental agency building also. They didn't charge any drop off fee or anything. We rented from Orlando Airport and back. Was much cheaper than the cruise bus transfer and we got to keep the car for a couple of extra days to do Disney which the cruise shuttle would not have allowed.

I think that is when you pick the car at the airport. We didn't pay anything extra when we rented a car from an off site in Orlando. Just ask when you make your reservations.
