We are staying at the Doubletree in Biscayne Bay- How far away is Crandon Park? What's the best way of getting there? Most of the time we take the city bus to South beach. Is Crandon Park worth a change? We go to South beach only for the beach.

Thanks

I'm looking forward to reading some responses about this one. I lived in Miami in the mid-1960's and just about lived at Crandon Park. I haven't been there in at least 40 years.

What is Crandon Park?
We are staying overnight in Miami prior to our RCL cruise on LOS in October. Lookng for something to do late afternoon/evening. We were just going to go to the Bayside Marketplace for a meal/shopping, but I am curious about this Crandon Park. We are staying at Intercontinental hotel in Biscayne BAy. Thanks

I found Crandon Park Beach by mistake a couple of years ago. It's a two mile white sand beach that is beautiful. The water is waste deep to about to about 500 feet out. It's agreat place to spend a day with your family. It seems strange that more people don't talk about it.
