As a family of 5, would I be better off taking a cab to the port of Miami? And how much will it cost and how long is the ride?

Edit: Moved to Port Hotels and Transfers forum. RF

Glasgow...

I've been thinking about the same thing.

We're a group of five, and I think we decided to take a Limousine. It came out to around $125 for a stretch limo.

However, you can check out this website:

The last time I was in Miami the cost of a taxi from the airport to the port was a flat $21 rate + tip. with 5 people you would obviously need 2 taxis. The cost of Super Shuttle is $10 per person. So, for a family of 5 it looks like the costs would be similar.

Thanks Nancy.

We came back from our cruise. The 4 of us took a cab from the airport to the docks. The zone fare was $24 + tips.

Glasgow,
Thanks for the updated pricing on cab fare. I knew it had probably increased a bit, but not sure how much.

I was there in Miami last Summer. The taxi charges from Miami airport to the Port of Miami was flat rate $21.00. If you have 5 family members you can take minivan taxi. It also has flat rate similar to regular taxi. You can always bargan with drivers.

There may be a small charge for each luggage item. It seems things change every time we cruise.
