We are staying at the holiday port of miami in Oct. which is less than 5 mins. from the port. There are plenty of taxis and shuttles to take you to the port. I don't know about pick up at the airport though b/c we are renting a car.

Most people have told me the holiday in at the port of miami. it is right across the street from the port but you do need to take a taxi. lots of restaurants, shopping etc across the street from the hotel as well

I agree with the others - Port of Miami Holiday Inn is the best place due to walking distance to the shops and resturants. They do not offer a shuttle to/from the airport, but the cab fair shouldn't be more than $20 or so.

And there are NO hotels within walking distance to the Port. The Holiday is is literally across the street from the port but it would still be at least a mile walk to the ships. (Dragging your luggage behind you....)

I pricelined a room at the Hyatt Regency (5 Star)for 60 a night last year, You could walk to Bayside. For that price a taxi is easily otainable. The bad thing is that the taxi will charge for that traffic jam waiting to get near the ship

Learn from my mistake! I went to Sky Auctions.com to bid on a hotel, won the bid for one night at the courtyard by marriott south beach for $109. I thought this was a great deal considering the website for their hotel lists the room for triple that price! So I came on this website (shoulda did it sooner) and found a sight offering the same hotel at $89. I wasted my money, so save yours,do the research, twice! or 3 times! lol
