One our our members contacted me about possibly establishing a new forum about hotels and transfers in various debarkation ports. After bouncing it around, here it is.

Enjoy,

Tom

This is wonderful, and I believe will be a big help to the moderators who I notice keep moving the hotels posts from all the different catergories to port of call. Now I believe people, Including myself will use this section to make better decisions on places we stay.

Excellent! This is an excellent idea. "Ports of Call" always seemed like the wrong title. We needed a "Ports of Liftoff" - and now we have it!

Great idea, Tom.

This would help us a lot. Almost every day you see questions about hotels close to airport or port.

JSL,

this is neither a problem on your side nor with our board software. Several users have added countdown clocks to their upcoming cruise(s) to their signature and it appears that there is a server problem with the third-party provider of that service. There's nothing at all we can do about it, and it is nothing you should worry about. Smile

Thank you Raoul for clearing that up ..I always assume it's my computer that is the cause of message board problems. I wanted to ask about pre cruise hotels in San Juan...I wasn't sure I was in the right place. Thanks ! JSL

The last time we spent the night in San Juan before a cruise, I found the hotels to be very expensive. We ended up staying at the Comfort Inn. The room was small and old. Not much for what we were paying. However, we got in around mid-night and left the next morning, so it was fine for a night.

After we boarded the ship, we then spent a wonderful day sightseeing in Old San Jaun and visiting the fort, El Morro.

JSL,

for questions about pre-cruise hotels in San Juan, I would suggest opening a new thread in this forum. Smile

JSL,

on top of this thread there are a number of buttons. Click on "New" and then on "Discussion" to start a new thread. Hope this helps.
