We are flying down the night before our cruise, looking for a nice hotel in the $100 range. We found Holiday Inn Express and Ramada Inn. Any suggestions? The reviews on the Ramada Inn were horrible on websites. Looking for airport and cruiseport shuttle.
Hi...when are you leaving? Try the Marroitt Courtyard Fort Lauderdale East..1-954-771-8100. Nine miles from airport & there is a shuttle or you can take a cab & 6 miles from Por Everglades. We booked it for one night before our cruise...$69. Try it out...Good luck...Deanie
We have reservations at the Ramada Airport/Cruiseport. Tried to get reservations at the Holiday Inn Express across from the airport, but was told at the beginning of January that there was nothing available for our requested time in late October!!! When I booked the Ramada in January, our room was reserved at $99/nt. The web site is now showing $109. I haven't heard too much one way or the other about good, bad or indifferent. I like that it has both airport and cruiseport shuttle and breakfast available in the morning. Anything close to the port is expensive and the less expensive seems to be farther away than I wanted to be. Let us know what you find.
We are also flying into Ft. Lauderdale (Nov.) the day prior to our cruise. We too didn’t want to pay a lot for one night (and also wanted free shuttle service to/from airport). I’ve looked into several hotels, but have decided on the Hampton Inn Fort Lauderdale Airport North (2301 SW 12th Ave, 1-954-524-9900). They received good reviews on Tripadvisor.com (lots of the other hotels I looked at didn’t and that was a big deciding factor for me). They also provide a free breakfast. If you have AAA or AARP the price is a bit cheaper. We got a room for $107. Anybody out there stayed there and have an opinion? Thanks!
