we are thinking of renting a car and returning it the day of our cruise on Enchantment of the seas in Sept. can someone tell me which rental car companies offer shuttle to the pier.Thanks

As far as I know, they all do. We've used Avis, Budget, and Enterprise, and they all had shuttle service to the port.

I wonder if the car rental shuttles to Port Everglades will run whenever there is a cruise ship at the port? Or will they only run on certain days of the week?

Also, do the Ft. Lauderdale car rental companies provide shuttle transportation to Pt. Everglades from the Ft. Lauderdale Airport? Or do I have to go to there off-airport locations to get courtesty bus transportation to the port?

I am thinking about this, in plans for a Celebrity cruise I hope to go on in the first week of December (6 months from now).

Thanks for the link, Frase. Which ship are you going on in December? We'll be on the Royal for both Christmas and New Years. We've done Christmas before, but not New Years, I'm really excited!

Not sure about the other companies, but Enterprise will no longer drop you off at the cruiseport, even though it is the "cruiseport" location. I called them, and they confirmed this, and told me it is a $10 cab ride to get from their office to the port.
