The Carnival spirit arrival time is 8:00 AM into Vancouver. I booked a 12:30 PM flight to boston. Do you think I will have time to make my flight. On the Carnival web site it said to book flihts any time after 11:00 AM. So that is why I booked a 12:30 flight. But I read going through customs could take hours. Please let me no if you think I will make it on time Thank you for all your HELP Nancy

Hi Nancyb1950, and welcome to cruise-chat.

A 12:30 flight should be fine -- in fact, I just booked one out of Vancouver (also to Boston, with one stop) for the same time. My TA, who has been there many times, assured me that we would have plenty of time.

No problem with that flight. But, I would strongly advise using the cruise ship's transfers to the airport. We had an 11:30 flight out and had no problem (we were on Princess)

Hi Nancyb1950
This past August we had a return flight of 1:00 out of Vancouver. We did the express walk-off about 8:30 a.m. and caught a cab really easily. There just wasn't a line that early. We were to the airport way early. The customs line wasn't long and moved pretty quickly. I think you'll be just fine with a 12:30 return flight.

Another year we we waited until about 9:30 or 10:00 to leave and then there's a huge line for cabs. We still were very early for our 2:00 p.m. flight.
Have a great cruise

Have any of you used US Direct at the Vancouver airport? I've heard this is the way to go when flying out the day of disembarkation, but it does require using the cruise ship transfers. We're considering it.

Nancy, we won't be on the same cruise, unfortunately. We're doing the Inside Passage on Holland America Line's Ryndam. Perhaps our paths will cross along the way.

Hello,

I was in Vancouver in August of 2007 and you should have no difficulty making your flight. The Vancouver airport is fairly close (not real close but not far away either) from the Vancouver cruise terminal.

Hope that this helps.

Fred
