Arriving in Vancouver late PM on July 3, 2009 for a next day 11 day Diamond Princess Cruise/Tour. Looking for a reasonable hotel that would be easy access from airport as well as ship dock the next day. Thanks.

Welcome to Cruise-Chat. The Best Western in Vancouver has a cruise package that might work for you. It includes transfer from the airport to hotel, a hot breakfast, and transfers to the pier. See here.

Cf is correct. There are several hotels that have cruise terminal shuttles available. Just call and ask to verify. The Holiday Inns also have free cruise shuttle service.

Thanks CF and JC. I guess staying downtown vs. airport area is better and closer to ship. If you know, which dock does Princess use?

Welcome to Cruise-Chat. Our Princess ship docked right next to the Pan Pacific Hotel, which is where we stayed. We walked from the ship terminal into the hotel. It was a post-cruise package through Princess. The hotel was rather expensive but very high on the "WOW" factor!

In Anchorage we stayed at the Captain Cook. It was also very nice and arranged through Princess.

I'm just jealous of anyone going on an Alaska cruise. We had such a great time and plan to go again within the next couple of years.

We are booked at the end of June for Comfort Inns Suite. we are getting a 2 room suiete, breakfast for 4, parking for the cruise, and bus ride over for about $240.00 USD. They are on Capilano Dr in N Vancouver.
Parking our car near the pier would have cost about 75% of that.
