Are there any good beaches in Alaska? Just wondering if it would be worth it to take our bathing suits.

On some ships they fill the pools with sea water. Do they heat it up on the Alaskan cruises?

No beaches. Are you kidding? The water is 40 degrees.

But yes, they do heat the pool water and close the "dome" to create an indoor pool area. Otherwise you still need a suit if you plan on using the spa's or jacuzzis.

You CAN do snorkeling in Alaska, but they put you in a full body wetsuit to do it. My daughter and her cousins went and they had a blast.
