Has anyone taken the Yukon Scenic Drive excursion out of Skagway?
I've been thinking about booking that excursion, but would like to hear about it from someone that's taken it before.
We cruise this September, taking the Glacier Bay Cruise through Carnival. We're first time cruisers. I'd like to hear from anyone who's been on this excursion.
We didn't do the scenic drive, but we drove to the Yukon Terrotory to go horseback riding. It was part of the excursion where they picked us up and drove us back, with plenty of stops for pictures. The view is amazing. Don't miss emerald lake. this is the tour that we did http://www.southeasttours.com/yukon_skagway_horseback_r...laska_tour_info.html

Consider renting a car and driving into the Canadian Yukon from Skagway. The highway from Skagway is an engineering marvel, with some truly spectacular views of mountains, forests and rivers. The cost of the car rental is much less than a tour.
We've got a car reserved with Avis. Its around $100 whereas for the 3 of us it would be at least $100 each for the train or bus. That way we can stop when and where we want.
