Does anyone know if it is better to take the White Pass Summit rail or bus first. Does it matter either way for the views.

Same views, different sides. We did the train up and the bus back.

We are doing the train up/bus back route in about 3 weeks. I'll let you know how it is.

If you can't do the train both ways, I would do the bus first, just because I think the train will be better...so it's more to look forward to. We did a train ino the Grand Canyon. We did coach there and first class back, and I'm glad we did. When we do the Panama Canal trip, we're flying to CA first and then cruising home vs doing it the other way. Just my opinion.

Just a thought, the train down is better if you want to take pictures.... better light later on. IMHO

Also - we found the doing the train in the afternoon vs the morning was better. The morning folks had fog and all around poor visibility. If you're not doing train both ways, definitely bus up, train back.

I like to finish my dinner with a large, juicy piece of meat too. Sounds like saving the train for the second part is saving the best for last.

Judging by your photos Gary, I would take that view as an expert evaluation!
