My husband and I (and another couple) are touring on land (on our own) and then taking the Island Princess from Anchorage to Vancouver. It has been fun (time consuming) to arrange all the land details and MUCH cheaper than the Cruisetours. Which air experience is best leaving from Talkeetna? I am looking at a horseback riding tour in Ketchekan (ship sponsored or other> and which is the best whale watching in Juneau?? Any other tips?

I've read that Captain Larry (Orca Enterprises) is the whale-watching tour to take in Juneau (reserve independently - not through cruise line).
