Taking Sun Princess Jun 13 ANC-YVR..Planning to fly in one or two days prior..Any suggestions for hotel in ANC and YVR..Planning on taking train to Whittier..do you need to make reservation now, or wait till we get there? If taking train and arrive at 12:30 and ship doesn't leave till 9:30 pm, what to do with luggage or can we check onto ship? Any suggestions would be welcome

I would definitely make reservations for the train from ANC to Whittier BEFORE you leave (the sooner the better) - There are only 2 runs each day and it can fill up (particularly since you will not be the only one wanting to catch the Sun Princess that day). Contact the Alaska RailRoad to make reservations. As for luggage - you may not be able to get onboard - but you should be able to check your luggage at the pier upon arrival.
