young grandparents taking 13 year old girls on HAL cruise after rail from Fairbanks, Denali, Anchorage, welcome your suggestions on excursions. In Haines, is there any info on the Glacier Point Wilderness Safari shore excursion? I'd love to hear suggestions for the best way to spend 14 hours in Haines, 4 in Ketchikan and 10 in Juneau, and a morning in Anchorage, pre-boarding. No helicopter or seaplane. Active would be good. Thanks

We went to Haines, and while I enjoyed the town, I was not crazy about the wilderness safari. We saw no wildlife. Now, wildlife is unpredictable for sure, but I am still not sure that I would do it again if given the chance.

Hello. We did a Alaska cruise a few summers ago. We went to Haines, and LOVED it. We did the Chilkat River Bald Eagle Preserve river float. I wrote a review of it.
