Anybody book 2007 cruise yet ? I wanting to buy my brother a cruise up there for his wedding present ? My dilema is Princess says they have 21 new tours ? But when I call no one will answer the phone so I can see what one they have and there web site under Shore excursions has only the 2006 listed, I heard rumor that there is an Airboat tour at the Mckinley lodge for 2007. Does anyone who booked know if this is true ? I wanting to book them a trip to Denali and then to Princess Mckinley to do a fishing, atv and hopefuly Airboat ride as he is a lover of these things

Thanks

The 2007 Alaska cruises have been open for booking since around May 2006. I would talk with a cruise oriented Travel Agency that can help you sort out all the different tours. Alaska is a short season and many of the sailings are already sold out. Balcony's can be difficult to get when booking late.

DW and I have booked an Aklaskan cruise (land/sea) from 7-16 thru 7-29 on HAL. 7 days on land and 7 via inside passage going south on ms Statendam.

John Hall's Alaska is handling it and it seems like a fair deal on the 14 day treck. I'm sure that there are others around that offer a similar deal.

regards,
mickeyd

You'll be entering as we exit same ship from 6/13 - 6/23. Our 2nd cruise w/Pincess - did south Caribbean a couple years ago.

Cheers!

We booked our Zaandam cruise back in July! Will probably do it again next year with friends. There is plenty to see and do there.

I am leaving on June 16, 2007 on the Norwegian Star for Alaska - Ketchikan, Juneau, Skagway, Sawyer glacier, etc. How should I dress at that time and anyone else out there going at the same time?

Judy, welcome to Cruise Chat.

The real key for dressing in Alaska is layers. Layers offer the most in flexibility and warmth when needed. The weather can be cool and rainy, for at least some of each day. When you're on the ship, cruising past glaciers, you're going to want to be outside, on the deck, watching the scenery go by. Those outside deck areas can be very cold when cruising past or anchored near a glacier, but being outside is something you don't want to miss.

"If you can't see the mountain tops in Juneau, it's raining. If you CAN see them, it's about to rain." Smile
