Hello
The hubby and I will be going on our first cruise in August. Our extent of family vacations have been camping trips so this will be a new experience. Three weeks after returning I will be heading out again with a surprise trip for my daughter (age 11) and my ex-mother in-law.
Both will be from Long Beach to San Diego to Catalina to Ensenada.

Any tips?

This is the most worry free vacation you can do. Pack less than you think you will need. Relax. You will be completely hooked. Carry small bills for tipping porters, room svc. etc. Try everything that sounds remotely fun. Wear comfortable shoes and worry about fashion around people you will actually see again.

The hubby and I were looking at the 5 mile hike excursion in Ensenada. Has anyone else done it? I have not found any reviews on it.

Thanks RichC, I have 1 more to go Wink.

NO. Let us all know how it was if you do it. I've always been looking for something to do in Ensenada.

5 miles?!?!? My boss likes to run in those 26 mile marathons-I'm older now, and if I have to go 5 miles, or 26 miles, I can afford to put the car in drive.

Hi TheHathaways, welcome to Cruise-Chat. Hope you will return from your cruise and be as addicted as the rest of us are Big Grin I haven't done that particular excursion, but it sounds like a great way to see the lay of the land. Normally, the excursions have a rating that will let you know how strenuous it is. Even on the ones that have been rated extreme physical activity, I haven't had too much trouble and I can guarantee you, I'm not that fit Wink Please let us know how you enjoyed your cruise when you return, I'm betting it will be a good review! Best wishes and once again, welcome aboard!

Welcome to the Forums!

Remember to pack a carry-on for when you board the ship since you won't have access to your luggage until later in the day. My wife and I always pack our swimsuits and clothes for the formal dining room for the first evening.

This will be very different from any campign trip that you have ever been on.

Have a great cruise,

Brad
