Thank you Dave for some good insight for first time cruisers - thanks to everyone contributing to this nice webpage.

Today, I was asking myselfes, if there is a general schedule for the events on the ship available? E.g. Captain´s dinner on that day at x o´clock / Ice-Show on that evening etc.

Reason: I would like to pland the best evening for the Portofino - or a good day to have berakfast in the room. You probably see that I am a plan-maniak Smile

I know that there is a "compass" every evening. But for planning at home, I wonder, if there is a general schedule.

Some things are done the same time on each cruise, but it depends on the itinerary. You won't find a rote general schedule of basics.

The ice shows are done several times during the cruise so each passenger can see it. They can't accommodate everyone at once so you need to get tickets to one show. The Captain's Welcome Aboard Dinner is on the first formal night. It is just a name for the theme of the night, so don't plan on seeing the Captain at dinner. You go when you are scheduled to go - either main or second seating - just like every other night you choose to eat in the main dining room.
