My husband and I went on a cruise in January. First one for me. We went through a travel agent. Since then I have heard of sky auction and a lot of other web sites. But, do they offer travel insurance? When you purchase the cruise package, where do you buy the insurance?
Also, are they good businesses to deal with? Reliable is the question?
Please help. THank you

Mikey, were you not pleased with the service your travel agent gave you? If so, then why switch? If you weren't, then I would still advise using a travel agent - ask friends & acquaintances for referrals in your area. You may be able to book the cruise, insurance, etc. through a website, but if any problems arise, your chances of having someone available to talk to for help are much greater with a T.A. than otherwise. But I have been looking on the web and found some great prices and was wondering if anybody has taken advantage of these sites and where they pleased. Just wanted some other options. And want to know the pro's and con's. We understand a TA is more hands on. But, some other opinions or options are always useful.

OK - but give your TA a chance to match the prices, if possible. Sometimes they can, sometimes not. Depends if it's worth it to you for the service & backup they can provide. Karen
