Well, we just returned from our 5 night cruise aboard the Enchantment of the Sea. I will give you as detailed account as I can.

We arrived at Port Everglades and promptly gave our luggage to the outside attendant. We then followed the walkway to go through ticketing and security. It was a little disappointing because it seemed everyone had a Set Sail pass so the line was VERY long! The other line (those without Set Sail passes) was much shorter. Going through customs/immigration was a breeze once you reached the front of the line. We received our Sea passes and headed to the ship.

Upon entering the ship, we were in awe of beauty of the Centrum. It looked luxurious and clean and really quite stunning! Our stateroom (2589) was ready so we promptly went down and changed into our bathing suits and hit the pool.

On the way to the pool, we stopped by the Ocean Adventure kids' club to sign our daughter up. There were VERY few kids on this cruise!

Day 2 - Key West
We got off the boat to do some shopping and walking around. We did not book any excursions for this port of call. We live in the Orlando, Florida area and have been to Key West before. We re-boarded the boat and spent the rest of the afternoon by the pool.

That night, we hit the casino. What fun! Kept winning enough to keep playing for awhile. Once alloted money for that night ran out, we quit.

Day 3 - Cozumel
What a beautiful day we had! The sky was as blue as the water. We did not get our excursion reservation in on time so we had nothing booked for this day either. Our son was VERY upset because he desperately wanted to see the Mayan Ruins. He has been fascinated by the Mayan culture since doing a report on them for a school project several years ago. We went into the market place and found many souvenir items. We then spotted a taxi driver holding up a sign that read, "Mayan Ruins, Shopping, Beach - 15 passenger van". So we asked how long the tour would be and how much it would cost. To our complete surprise, it was only $20 per person! We jumped on the van with about 9 other people and we took off. They took us directly to a state park of Mayan Ruins. There was a separate admission to enter the park, $5.50 that wasn't included. We paid the extra $5.50 and went inside. We walked through many different ruin sites. It was nice and pleased my son! We then boarded the bus and headed to downtown Cozumel for some shopping. When we arrived, the driver took us to a place where we received a complimentary margarita, pina colada or shot of tequila. Afterwards, we spent about an hour shopping. We then boarded the bus for our last leg of the tour, the beach. They took us to a private beach that had a quaint Mexican restaurant right on the beach. We all ate lunch there and spent the rest of the day walking around this beach. Other than the people on our bus, there were only about 10 people on this beach. Very nice! The van then promptly returned us right back to where our tour began. This van tour was definitely worth the money!!!

Day 4 - Day at Sea
This was one of my favorite days! I stayed around this pool all day long! They had a Men's Sexy Legs contest, belly flop contests, and just plain relaxation! We also shopped the on board shops, they had many specials on this day.

Day 5 - Coco Cay
We had to be tendered to the island. The day was overcast but was almost welcomed by most. It was hot just about everyday prior! We were going to snorkel but realized real fast that there were jellyfish everywhere! One stung my son's foot just walking in ankle deep water. So, we really didn't go in the water. The 30 ft. (or so) water slide was a perfect way for the kids to still have fun. It cost $20 per day per person. It was TONS of fun for them and the adults that went on it. It didn't empty out into the ocean, so no worries with the jellyfish. It seemed worth the price.

Each night we went to the shows. The first night that featured a comedian was quite awful. He wasn't very funny and used jokes that I received in an email months ago, not original. Other than that, the shows were good!

We went to karaoke every night (we didn't sing, just watched) and that was lots of fun!! We loved the piano singer in the Schooner Bar, as well as, the latin band in Boleros.

-Food Review-

We ate breakfast and lunch in the Windjammer simply because it was open later than the main dining room. We ate dinner in the My Fair Lady dining room each night. We had no complaints about any of the food! The last night featured lobster.
Our wait staff, Catalin from Romania and Amit (assistant waiter) were AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask! All in all, we had a GREAT time Smile

Diana91,
Thanks for sharing your review. I am glad you had a good time. I agree, the Vision Class ships are quite nice and EOS is no exception.

Hi, My husband and I are going to cozumel in March. I am in a wheelchair, but can walk short distances.., and wondering if the van tour you took would be good for someone who can transfer to the van. I know my husband would love to see the ruins, and i would be ok sitting in shady area while he walked around the ruins. Would the wheel chair be able to get near the ruins without to much trouble? none of the cruise info really says. Also, what was the name of the van tour, and where did he park ? thanks for any info.glad you had a great time..thanks...diane
