I'm going on the navigator of the seas (Western Caribbean) this summer with my boyfriend and his family. I am very excited, but it will be my first cruise so I have some questions. Any help would be appreciated. 1) I am staying in one of the cabins that overlooks the promenande. If anyone has stayed in that type of cabin could you let me know how it is? 2) I am a smoker and am wondering where smoking is allowed and where it is not (pool areas, cabins, nightclubs, cafes)? 3) Is there a younger crowd on the ship? I am in my early 20's and am hoping there will be some other young people there to hang with in the clubs, etc. 4) I am vegetarian and our travel agent has told us there won't be a a problem in the dining room for that option, but has anyone had the vegetarian plan for their cruise? I am hoping it is not mundane and there will be variety.
OK. That's all for now. I will probably have more questions as I come up with them. Thanks a lot everyone. Jennifer
Jen, I have'nt cruised on a ship with the cabins you asked about, but will be in June. As for smoking, you can in your cabin, bars, casino and some other public areas. As a non-smoker I hope you'll be courteous to others around you and not smoke by the pool where there is little choice but breath it or leave. As for the younger crowd I think you'll find a fair amount of early 20's around. Sorry but I can't help you with the vegetarian question except to say if you decide to jump off the "veggie wagon" the steaks are great!
