We are booked on The Freedom of the Seas for a December sailing and was just curious of who has stayed in on of the Promenade inside cabins before. If you have, what was the experience like? Was there significant noise being so close to the Promenade area?

Just be aware that the cabins directly on the other side of the Promenade have clear view into your cabin and vice versa. Don't forget as you emerge from the shower. There will be one night that will present a major noise factor. The parade night, it's typically held beginning at midnight and the parade runs through the Promenade. You'll have a front row elevated view which is great. If you're and early to bed, early to rise person, may not be so great. Change cabins now if this will be a problem, nothing you can do once onboard.

Cheers, Neil

I haven't personally sailed in the Promenade cabins. I just came off the Liberty of the Seas and others in my group that had the promenade cabins said the sound proofing was good.

My wife and I have had Promenade cabins on Explorer and Adventurer... Most likely you will be watching the parade either from the Promenade or from your cabin depending on your actual location. The rest of the trip you won't hear a thing. You will realize right away that when you would like "private" time you need to have the curtains drawn. However, at other times when you stop in the cabin or are just relaxing it is great to have a view of the Promenade. We really loved the Promenade cabins...
Enjoy.
