Hi everyone! We are just about to leave from Coco Cay. This ships is the best of the Soverign class ships. The food is great, and the ship is fantastic! Guest what? I finally got an upgrade! I went from an inside cabin on deck 5 to an outside cabin on deck 9. It took 30 cruises on RCCL before I got one. tomorrow it's Nassau, then a day at sea. This is good practice for my cruise next month Smile. I'll be posting more pictures when I get back on Sunday. I hope you guys are having as much fun as Esther and I are having. Razz

Hi Sonny

Hey I just got off that ship on Friday. I think for the number of days its RCL's best ship. I just booked it again for Nov 13, 2006. I know that I told you to find Troy or Michael for great bartenders, but they are on vacation for a few weeks. But, Peter and Joey in the Schooner Lounge are great also. Tell them that I said hello and that I will be back on Nov 13 if you don't mind. Thats great that you got an upgrade I never got one either. Hey have a great time and if you want to go on a great tour in Nassau look up a cabbie named Felix, He's awesome. For 25 bucks a person he gave a great tour of Nassau and the Island and then took us to Paradise Island. The tour lasted for almost 6 hours. Have fun.

Oh yea Sonny, The next cruise on the Soverign will be my 10th on that ship. You'd think they'd give you some kind of an award for that.

Hey Sonny! Finally got an upgrade....a real upgrade! I've got to try the Sovereign.

I'm cruising vicariously with you right now. I just had one of my favorite cruise ship breakfasts - bagel and smoked salmon. Where's the waiter with my cream cheese??? Smile

Wow.. you are on the Soverign and then turn around and go out on the Freedom in 18 days? Do they both go out of Miami? I would be tempted to not even bother to come home.. maybe you can do a back to back and then go on the Freedom... saves you airfare... Big Grin

Glad to hear you got your upgrade! After 30 cruises they should be letting you pick you cabin!

Sonny - How are you able to keep in touch with us? Are you using there computer? Did you take a laptop? Is so is there a charge for using your laptop? I'm trying to find out how to keep in touch at sea without my "cellphone"

DSR-

If he didn't take his own laptop (which you really DON'T have to do) He is probably using one of the computers in the Internet Cafe' . You can buy access time by the minute or a block of minutes (which is cheaper if you are going to use the computer for more than a couple of minutes.) If you can "keep in touch" over the internet then this is a good option. Cheaper than the ship to shore calls. If you are trying to connect into your office and they use some form of access control (like a SecureID KeyFOB), bring it with you. Otherwise, anything you can do from your home computer you can do from the ships computers...
Assuming its legal of course Roll Eyes

Have fun, Sonny! I really enjoyed the Sovereign this past June. It still has its charm.

I'm jealous! We are going on the Radiance in November and I know it will be wonderful. But our first cruise in 1991 was on the Sovereign and that ship will always be special to us. We may HAVE to book a cruise on the SOS for old times sake!

Have a great time and congrats on the upgrade.

Hello SonnyV, Sounds like you are having a great time. Lanie and I just got back from western caribbean on Rhapsody from Galveston. Wonderful time, can't wait to book another cruise, this was our 2nd RCCL cruise. I'm with you, I think they are the best, although if someone gave me a cruise from any cruise line, would not turn it down. Have fun.

Hey Nadine

I love the Soverign also but guess what? I just got off her the day sonny got on and I have already booked her for Nov 6th and I am going on the Radiance also in Nov 11 back to back cruises. I love cruising as much as Sonny does and go every chance that I can. The Radiance will be my 6th cruise this year. Hope you are having fun Sonny. By the Way everyone if you find yourself in Nassau and wanna take a "Great" tour look for a cabby named Felix and tell him what you'd like to do this guy is great and is a real gentleman. You will no you have the right guy because he is real tall, black, and real skinny. But he took 4 of us on a 6 hour sightseeing trip for only $100.00

Hello again! I still have some free minutes to use up. Yes, I'm on the ships computer. Ate at Johnny Rockets this after noon... it's a must. The Windjammer is awesome! They doubled the size of it by adding more room in the back of the ship. I't HOT in Nassau today, about 92. We went to the Atlantis and enjoyed walking around there. If haven't done that, I'd recommend it. The aquarium is awesome! I probably won't be back on line until I get home Sunday. We are going back to our friends house Friday ( about an hour drive from the port). They live on the beach in Ormond, which is a few minutes from Daytona Beach. Later...
