Are all drinks free between 5 and 8:30 pm on RCCL I will be crusing on enchantment of the seas Oct 13 2008
Complimentary cocktails are only available for those with access to the Concierge and Diamond Member Lounges. This means you have to be staying in a suite or be a Diamond or Diamond Plus member of the Crown & Anchor Society.
I hear they charge extra for the celery. What's next—olives?
Sonny, I can tell you are ticked. I've rarely if ever seen you say things like this. I don't blame you though. I get ticked at CCL sometimes too. I just got a report back from friends that they have raised drink prices again, haven't confirmed it yet though. I better have a stalk of celery in my Bloody Mary free of charge. I do recall having to ask last time. Also the first day of getting the Bloody Mary special was told they don't have Tabasco. The bartender did motion me over to the end of the bar when I was ready to leave and told me he would get it for me tomorrow. No sooner would I use it though he would take it off the bar so no one else could see it. I guess they are really tightening up. I am a picky Bloody Mary drinker though, I have to have celery, lime, Tabasco, and pepper.

The truth of the matter is they're not charging extra for steaks—they make enough from the fuel surcharge. Oil prices are down below the price from when they started charging $5 per person...then upped it to $10 per person. I wonder which cruise line will drop the fuel surcharge first.
GREAT QUESTION!!! sonny if things are so tight then can someone please tell me how they can continue building 450 million ships left and right I would say that they are making lots of $ they purchase all there booze in the islands and save lots of $ as sonny says fuel is coming down but many have booked trips with this charge and trust me they are not taking it off any time soon.. all in all cruise tickets are still what they were 20 years ago but ships are bigger and they can take on more passengers and offer so much more to make up revnue streams so there profits are much lager, so I would suggest that dont mess with extra charges like the steak its petty. trust me I will give it back to you in the casino I promise mike

I can tell you this, we just finished a 12 day cruise with Celebrity and they just took the steak off the main menu and replaced it with a herbed chicken. That was a surprise, for folks like my husband who do not like a lot of fancy food. The Captain's Dinner was different as well, we are use to a large lobster tail, what they have done is add more to the plate, like lobster rice with scallop, shrimp and a much smaller lobster tail ! Cut back's are hell
WOW! After reading all this, I starting to get concerned... I'm going on an older small ship.. I'll problemly have a fee to swim in the pool. As far as the steak thing goes.. I'll TELL ya if my husband can't get a steak on our cruise without paying for it.. He'll problemly never go on another one.. He's not a crusier so I feel my cruise days are numbered anyway... I mean... He's been on one (Carnival Liberty)..This November's trip will be the second one for him. He wants a more interactive cruise.. He wants to see the engine and all that tech stuff... If they would let him in the bridge and work... He would be hooked for life..LOL but we can't afford those interactive type cruises like the Clipper ships, which would be perfect for him..
Here is a picture of me sitting in the captain's chair on the Mariner. Galley tours, and Behind the scenes tours are also given. The engine room tours are no longer given.
