A new Military rate program has been announced by Royal Caribbean. Travel Agents can begin booking the rate beginning Oct 2, 2006. To qualify atleast one guest per stateroom must meet the following: 1.Active personnel currently serving in the US Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, National Guard, Reserves or Canadian National Defense. ID card must be presented at check-in.
2. Retired from any of divisions listed above. Retired is defined as A)"Minimum of 20 years of service B)medically retired, or C)100% disabled. Proper Id will be required at check-in.
This seems to be more restrictive than the Carnival Military program. But could be worth asking your TA to check in to.
I was able to use the military discount on Carnival. They accept honorable discharge as a veteran for the discount. Hopefully, RCCL will match them on that. There are alot of us veterans out there. Lets cross our fingers. This will be our first Carnival cruise. We usually cruise on RCCL. Bye, Lil' Lori
