Hi - we are going on our first cruise on the Voyager with our two children - 3.5 and 6. Any suggestions for traveling with children? How are excursions with small children? Is babysitting safe?

Any other suggestions?

Also, I have seen mixed reviews about the Voyager - what is the real story?

Thank you, thank you, thank you!

The Voyager is a wonderful ship and you and your children will have a great time! Babysitting services are safe and well supervised. Your children will probably prefer the group babysitting services available as the youth staff provide a variety of activities and the interaction with the other children onboard is a plus. Royal Caribbean has one of the best children's programs afloat - in my opinion. The Aquanauts (for you 3 yr old), and the Explorers for the 6 yr. old) are both excellent youth programs that will keep your children occupied happily for hours. As for excursions - In Ocho Rios your children would probably enjoy the Turtle Farm and Stingray City, or the Atlantis Submarine. In Cozumel you might consider taking them to Chankanaab Park, or Poncho's Backyard (both can be done easily on your own). In Jamaica, they might enjoy the Sub-Sea Viewer. Have a great time!

Not to be picky, but previous post mentioned Ocho Rios as having the turtle farm and Stingray City. These are definitely attractions you will find in Grand Cayman, not Ocho Rios, Jamaica.

You are so right - Thanks for the correction! I meant to write Grand Cayman, as I suggested the subsea viewer in Jamaica but sometimes my mind works faster than I type.
