Chris 2486-Consider the Sleep Inn in Dania - they will pick you up at the Airport, check you into a mini suite-give you breakfast in the morning-and take you out to the ship in the morning. Within a hundred feet there are Walgren's, Dollar Tree, Banks and Restaurants.

Bon Voyage,

How far a ride from the Airport in Ft Lauderdale to Port Everglades? I would also think there is secure parking while out on the cruise.

Port Everglades and the Ft. Lauderdale Airport are practically next door to each other. Driving time is maybe 10 minutes.

There is parking at the port, for about $15 per day for standard sized vehicles.

Chris 2486, there are tons of hotels near the airport/port. We've stayed at the Renaissance, Hyatt Pier 66, TropiRock (which is a little far away without a car), and the Sheraton Yankee Clipper. ChucksOK recommends the Embassy Suites. Hope this helps some.

Chris, you can also add the La Quinta to your list, they have one of their nicest hotels in Ft Lauderdale near the airport and pier and it offers, or did recently, free transfers from airport to hotel and hotel to pier for those staying and flying in. Free parking and shuttle for those driving.

Cheers, Neil

As an oh by the way. For those of you driving down to Ft. Lauderdale, the LaQuinta in Ocala is really nice, too. It's right off of I75, about 30 miles before you get on the turnpike. The gas is usally 10-15 cents less a gallon than in Live Oak and about 25-40 cents a gallon less than on the turnpike.
