I read on cruise reviews that there is a "high stakes" poker game in one of the lounges. Does anyone know the cost of entering, and the payout? Is this just on one night or each night? Thanks!
Hey, I have not personally seen any poker or side betting on any of the modern cruises that I have been on. It's not to say it isn't there but I have not seen it. However, when you get to islands such as Nassau, They do have those areas in the casinos there. There is a normally a dollar amount of chips you have to pre-purchase to enter them. However also, there are cruise lines that I have yet to try. I never seen those areas on the Mariner though. They do have Carribbean Poker and other card games to play and the normal table is $5 and up from there.
By the way ceemonster... I see you are from Port St. John... I am from Titusville! Born there and lived there until about 5 years ago. We were neighbors!!!
Tyler, Texas - which is in between Dallas and Shreveport,LA. It is considered East Texas. We really miss Florida, and are trying to get back there. My husband is a golf professional, and they are a dime a dozen in FL. It would also make cruising cheaper since I could knock out the airfare. Oh well...
Well they opened a few new courses in the area. Walkabout in Mims and Duran in Viera West. Cruising is also easier because its right here. I like the weekenders alot because I do not have to use the valuable vacation time for them all. I go in on Friday for a half of a day and go to work normal time on Monday. Well if you find you coming to the area again let me know maybe we all can meet for a drink or something.
Sounds great- but on this cruise in December out of Port Canaveral, we are flying in and out so my 6 year old does not miss too many days of school. (Hope the principal does not mind)
