Yet another BR question! Our friend is a large fellow, about 6'6" and 305lbs, will he fit in the shower in a superior oceanview balcony room or should the upgrade?

It will be a tight fit, my husband said that it will be hard to bend over in there. Usually you have to step out to bend over if you are too large.

Tight fit is right, I'm 6'2" and about 210 and, although I fit fine, it's very little elbow room. My youngest son is almost your friends size. He's 6'6" but a just a little over 300 and he's laughed at the size of the shower but always comes out clean.

Cheers, Neil

Good heavens, what are you feeding him

Whatever he wants, he's bigger than I am. I tell people when we go places together, he's my body guard.

He's still growing. When he was little they had these pre-set times you're supposed to go to the Pediatritian for check ups. At one of them, at a certain age they put em against a growth chart to tell you what they expect their height to be as an adult. The Dr. came out and said, "Sorry, he doesn't fit on our chart. But I can tell you, he'll be a big guy." His poor mother, he came out 9 lbs 15 oz.

Cheers, Neil

Used to work at a clinic. There is a "wives tale" formula of doubling your height at either two or two and a half to get your adult height--and like a lot of wives tales (they are based on generations of observation and sometimes difficult to dismiss) it surprisingly accurate. Our friends were told their son would be seven feet tall (dad is 6'4" and mom is probably 5'10".) They just laughed. At 13 he is 6'9", wears a size 15 shoe, and is not done growing by a long shot. To bring this back to cruise chat, this boy doesn't fit the shower or the BEDS.

Laurie, if we got Neil's son and your friend's son together in a cabin, there'd be no room to move. I'm sure glad I don't have to buy the shoes for these two Razz Thank heavens for the buffets.
