I found out something VERY COOL! Instead of booking a tour with the cruise line to "tour a resort" You can actually do a search on goggle or yahoo to find the different resorts of the island. Go to the resorts website and get the phone number and give them a call. They ALL offer what they call a "Day Pass". This Day Pass gives you access to the "whole" resort for the whole day. You buy this day pass at the resort when you get to the island. This day pass normally cost a little more than the cruise lines tours. Well hope someone finds this helpful but Everyone problemly already knows this...LOL..

This is good news that I hadn't really thought about. My husband and I have been wanting to check out Atlantis...has anyone done this while spending the one day docked in Nassau? Any pointers? We are cruising again in Feb. 09.

I've done this several times. I'll be in Jamaica next week and my wife and I are going to spend a day at Sandals Resort. I think the cost is $85 per person and you get every thing a regular guest gets except for a room.

Hi Cookies2Go wave Welcome to Cruise-Chat. When we go to Nassau, we take the water taxi over to the Atlantis. It use to be $3.00 pp each way if I remember correctly. You can walk right to the Atlantis as soon as you get off the water taxi.
You can also take a taxi cab over there also. At the pier you will have people approaching you for rides etc.
Have a Great time.

All you have to do is call Atlantis. You can get their phone number from their web site.. They have the same deal. I checked with them and the day pass is about 120 per person. You buy the pass once you get on the island and that gets you FULL ACCESS to everything... Water park included... HAVE FUN

In Montego Bay Jamaica, we went to Sunset Beach Resort and bought a day pass. It cost $40/adults and $20/children. That covered all food, drinks, alcohol, pools, water park/water slides, non motorized water toys. We had a great time there. The food was really good and the place was so beautiful. The taxi ride from the ship was about $8 for all three of us.

Better yet go on line and book a room at the comfort in right next to the atlantis . the atlantis owns the comfort inn cost about 200.00 for 4 and you get all the access to the atlantis resort and under ground aquairium, then you can use the room to shower or rest...

I am considering getting the room at comfort inn to get the wrist bands for the day (carnival destiny-nov.18th). But I have a two year old also with us, which would actually make 5 people. I know comfort inn says only 4 people in the room.....do they need to even know about the 2 year old and Do I need the all-access pass wristband for him too for atlantis? ( he turns two the day before (nov.17)
