Can someone tell me what they thought of the promenade balcony rooms on Liberty of the Seas?

The promenade cabins don't have balconies. They have windows which look out onto the promenade. These are standard inside cabins otherwise.

We stayed in a promenade cabin on Freedom, it was fine for us as we were hardly ever in it. you get the view over the promenade so we did watch the parade from up there, one good point was that there was hardly any noise either.

I found the remarks on the promenade deck interesting. We decided not to do that type of room on the Explorer, because of the noise factor. Maybe we will try it our next cruise.

What noise factor? Except for the parade, I didn't hear a thing. I wanted to watch the parade from my cabin anyhow.

My sister just got off the LOTS and had a promenade cabin. She too was concearned with the noise possibilities. I asked her when she got back and she said the noise from the promenade was not a factor. She did have a noise problem because she was also next to the service closet where the ice machine was. Apparently every morning the stewards came to fill the ice buckets for the day and they would bang the cart with all the metal ice buckets going in an out of the closet. But that kind of noice could happen in any kind of cabin if you had one in a bad spot....
