First, consider the convenient pre-paid tipping thru your sail account. The hard-working & much-deserving cruise staffers deserve the tips as they have families back home to support. We tip extra to the much-deserving staffer.. be it may Kendall from Jamaica, Arthur from the Philippines, etc..

The cruise lines have almost perfected guest services to cruisers. But the golden rule still applies. Wanna get the "best" service? Go farther beside the monetary tip. These aim-to-please & super staffers deserve recognition as well. Compose a short note & DO state to the ship's Hotel Director how great Kendall, Arthur are. In turn, let the staff know about it during the cruise. Months after your cruise, they'll remember you at their promotion hearing. Yes the almighty money buys, but the mightiest motivator for the majority is recognition.

One added incentive for YOU for dropping a positive note to the hotel director. You may just get a fine bottle of wine at dinner as token of appreciation for your care & concern... delivered ceremonially by the maitre'd. Voile', your table mates... and YOUR GIRLFRIEND will be impressed. Happy cruising Chris.
