My wife and I are sailing with our children ages 14, 7 and 5 on the Voyager of the Seas, 2/08/2004. We chose the first dining room time, but I am curious if this is a good idea. What is the preference of those with small children. I figure that they would have energy left at Confused the early dining room time and we could still do some activities afterwards.

I think you made the right choice. More people with kids go for the early seating. I had the impression it leaves you more time to enjoy the rest of the evening.

Correct choice as far as we are concerned. Had late seating on our first cruise. Since have always booked first seating. Allows time to enjoy the shows or what ever you decide to do in the evening. Just know that first seating can sometimes interfere with long day trips so be prepared and choose carefully. Enjoy and bon voyage!

I happen to like the first sitting so we can go to the shows and enjoy the rest of the evening. I don't like to eat so late and then the night is over early.
