We just got a package from royal caribbean containing two cards that say bahamas immigration disembarkation/embarkation cards. what are these? what do i do with them? i haven't read the booklet that they came with yet, soooo...

Does your cruise make a port call in the Bahamas? If so, you will need to complete the cards (one per passenger in your party) and take them with you, to be collected either at embarkation or when you arrive in the Bahamas for your port call. And do read through your documents and the information booklets they sent; not only do they contain important information, but they also can help you get even more excited about your cruise!

Hi sether - You should fill them out and take them with you when you check in at the port. It's just part of the boarding process. Everyone has to fill them out before going to the Bahamas.

thank you for quick respnses. i don't really know how to answer some of the questions-intended address in the bahamas?-type of accomodation?- and i am using a birth certificate instead of a passport so what do i put in the space that says "passport number"? port of embarkation? nationality? can i just leave the ones i'm not sure about blank?

Here is what I've seen done:

I've seen people put their birth certificate number (if it has one) in the passport blocks. Otherwise, I'd just leave it blank.

Port of embarkation is where you boarded the cruise. Miami, Port Everglades, etc.

Nationality is the country you are a citizen of....US, Canada, UK.

Intended address in bahamas: the ship's name.

Accomodation: ship.

The Bahamas is a place that prides itself on archaic bureaucracy, and these cards are a vestige of that. I seriously doubt they spend a lot of time carefully going over each card before letting passengers leave the ship. The tourist dollars outweigh it! These type of cards used to be more common but most other islands have stopped using them.
