What is the weather like in mid January on an Eastern Caribbean cruise? I have heard all things. I know it will be warmer than it is here. We are flying into Ft.Laurderdale.

We just returned from a combination Eastern and Western Caribbean trip. Temp 82 in St. Thomas, and was about the same at all ports. Islanders were cold, and stated this was about the lowest temps they have. Be prepared for heavy trade winds. Waves were not bad, but the winds incredible, and really buffeted the ship, causing it to rock. Have fun. Pack a couple of outfits for cooler weather "just in case". El Nino will give a different outlook this year, according to a lot of the guides we had.
