I will be sailing on the Navigator of the Sea in Oct. I am looking for a clean room, secure and cheap or reasonably price hotels or motels, $50 to $100, close to the port of Miami. Can anyone give me some suggestions or ideas?

Yes, the Holiday Inn Marina Park (it used to be the Best Western) is directly across the street from Bayside, very close to the port. Rates are very reasonable, they have a pool, and rooms are standard fare (nothing stellar, but acceptable).

Go to priceline & bid for a room in the downtown area. Go for 3 star hotels. I got the Sheraton Biscayne Bay for $40/night for 3 nights prior to my cruise. It is downtown minutes from the port. Most people get the Hyatt for $27 - $30 per night. The Hyatt is having conferences during the time that I need it. If you do not know how to use priceline go to biddingfortravel.com & it will tell you all the ins & outs.
