I just found this forum and reading some of the posts and responses, it looks like a great place to hang out.
I am from San Francisco but a couple of years ago moved to St Petersburg after falling in love with it. As an avid traveler, I might be able to offer suggestions in most places but in St Petersburg I am really familar with almost all aspect of the city and its history and culture.
You will have to come back for more days. St Petersburg is just too exciting and facinating to cover in 2 years let alone 2 days. I've been to all 120 museums within walking distance from my apartment in the heart of the city and still haven't seen everything. Just the Hermitage would take years to see the entire 3.800.000 items.

Welcome to cruise-chat. Sounds like we can use someone as knowledgeable as you posting on our forums. As I already mentioned - I would have loved to have had the chance to chat with you before we went to SPB. I was lucky enough to be there to view the opening of the White Nights Festival on May 27. It was quite a memorable experience!!!

Just got back from my Baltic cruise and all I can say is WOW!!! What a fantastic trip and St. Petersburg was awesome
