Hi,
Doing some pre-cruise planning for a cruise out of one the ports in England: Dover, SouthHampton or Hatwick. (Havn't pinned down which cruise I want to take, all sound great). It trying to figure out some logistics in scheduling flight time I wanted to find out how much time I should allow from time ship pull back into port and until I would reasonably be able to get to one of the London airports. What would be the earliest flight time I should plan for.

Thanks

jeffro,

I've never heard of Hatwick. Could this be Harwich? If its Gatwick, it's one of London's airports, not a sea port.

Best regards,

Raoul, I am sure that it is Harwich.

Jeffro, this would be my advice. I would plan on spending the evening in London after the cruise and then departing for the airport the following morning. All three ports are a considerable distance from London's airports and why risk missing your flight? Plan on debarking your ship when you want and then taking a relaxing transfer to your London hotel for some sightseeing, dinner, a great night's sleep and then tackle the flight home the next day? I guarantee this is a more reasonable approach to the end of the cruise.

If you are sailing from Southampton you can get a regional flight from Southampton airport to many major UK airports.

Southampton airport is about £10 by taxi from the cruise terminals.

Careful to allow enough time, sometimes there is a big queue for taxis!
