Princess do not offer a shore excursion to Mycenae so I would like to organise either a private trip or preferably join a group tour. I have found a few companies that do day trips from Athens. Does anybody now of companies that will pick up in Piraeus? Failing that I will look at private but was hoping to get a trip that included a knowledgable guide.
Is it appropriate to use this site to look for fellow passengers who may be interested in the same trip to share the cost?
How long does it take to disembark if you are doing your own thing and is it possible to get an approx. time in advance to organise a pick up.

this is definitely the place to try to hook up with other passengers for a tour. Apparently nobody knows the answer to your question about tour companies; or hasn't come across the question yet. Be patient.

Mycenae is really an interesting place. In fact, for those who have been to Athens, going to the Peloponeese offers lots of potential rewards. One option is to simply rent a car in Pireaus (there are quite a few rental car companies within walking distance of the piers) and drive yourselves. We have found driving in Greece to be quite easy as long as you stay out of Athens. The only caveat is that you need a decent map or (even better) a GPS system.

we booked a tour last year with Greece Cruise Excursions & Tours they do all private tours and offer custom tours too so you might try asking them to see if they will do it or know someone that can.
