My son and his wife (in their 30s) and my wife and I (in our 60s) are booked on the June 15 2008 Carnival Freedom Mediterranean cruise. We are looking for co-travellers who would like us to join them on short excursions from the various ports.

My husband and I (late 50's) will be on that same ship and are interested. We will be doing most excursions on our own and are esp interested in Ephesus/Olympia tours as they are both a distance from the ship. I have been researching indep travel and have alot of info. Perhaps you can suggest a way to meet. We leave in two days for a pre-trip. SKB

I sure wish you two had used out "Roll Call" Feature. I have been looking for other Freedom Cruisers for almost a year now!

My wife and I will be on the 6/15.08 sailing of the Freedom! I have plenty of info (Thanks to Hank and Drlivingston and Ftroute) for getting around in the ports. Ephesus/Olympia are the only places where we elected to take the ships tours due to te distance to get to these places.

We are in our early forties. SO we span the entire spectrum of age groups.

Write back (or use the private messaging feature) and we can arrange to meet once on the ship (or even in Rome on the 14th, we are staying in Rome before the cruise)

We are doing exactly the same - ship excursions in Olympia and Izmir only. We would like to meet as well. It looks like we have four couples now. What about meeting at the Shore Excursion desk area at 7:30 on the 15th. We could have Cruis-chat signs.........Susan

I just heard from a tour company that does tours to Ephesus. I will forward this email to you, SKB. Jim I don't have your email. I can forward this to you as well whn I get this.

Prices seem higher than Carnival: US$85/pp/Min 4. Carnival is asking $65 for this 4-hour tour. The private tou does give us moe flexibility, however. They may have a better deal if all eight of us go.

Their tours to Athens are all booked.
