This is about a round trip from Livorno station to Florence. Can we make our return on any of the trains coming back to Livorno or is that specified according to the outbound train. It just makes the iternerary flexible if we're not bound by a specified time on the return journey.
Your ticket is good on any of the trains that return to Florence. Here is a huge tip, though. After you purchase your tickets, make sure that you validate them by getting each ticket stamped by inserting them in the little yellow boxes that you see on the train platform. If your ticket is inspected on the train and hasn't been validated, you will be fined a considerable amount (around 50 euro if I remember correctly) The tickets must be validated each time you board the train.

Thanks so much Tom. Does the same round-trip rule apply to the tickets on the hydrofoils/ferries from Naples to Capri? Thanks again. I have to say your Port Reviews are priceless!
No, you will have to buy a return ticket to Naples (or Sorrento) when you arrive in Capri. If you do buy a round-trip ticket in Naples, you will have to make a reservation on a specific hydrofoil returning to Naples when you purchase it. If there are many ships in port, getting a return ticket from Capri can be tricky because many folks will opt for the latest ferry back, so buy your return ticket as soon as possible.
Thanks for your kind words about my port reviews.
